Hi, I'm Stacey...
I'm a qualified primary school teacher with over 11 years of teaching experience. I currently love teaching at a lovely village school part time alongside my tutoring business. Across the years I have taught wonderful children across all primary age phases, covering the full range of primary subjects.
I've always had a passion for education and teaching, volunteering for Rainbow Girl Guides and in countless schools and programmes working with children before heading to the University of York to study for a degree in English in Education. I followed on from this by undertaking my PGCE in Primary Education at the University of Cambridge and have been teaching in primary schools ever since.
It's my strong belief that children learn best when treated as a partner in learner, having an active role in their learning experience. From growing giant magical beanstalks, to improving times table knowledge through Jenga or reading comprehension through football, all my sessions are personalised, research backed and most importantly fun for all! Across my experience i have worked with a range of additional needs and am well versed in supporting both parents and children in navigating a sometimes daunting and unaccommodating educational landscape,
Outside of teaching, I'm a mum to two gorgeous boys, aged 3 and 6 months, and a tortoise named Albie (who you can expect to meet in The Learning Den!) so life is certainly busy! I love reading, travelling, anything to do with musicals (be it singing along to them or watching them) and buying far too many children's books!
Now you've learnt a little about me, I'd love to hear about you!
